Half Packed Travel.

Real trips. Real chaos.

Behind The Blog

Hello! My name is Ashley and I’m a girl from Florida who loves baking, books, and will literally stop dead in her tracks to pet a cat!

Travel blogging was not always part of the plan. At 19 years old I got hit with a frontal lobe epilepsy diagnosis and school was basically shut down for me. I had to start over after that, and that forced me to figure out what I really wanted out of life. Honestly- I wanted something different than just going through the motions of school and a routine. I wanted curiosity, movement, and adventure.

Now, I am an almost-post-grad student studying advertising and persuasive messaging at the University of Florida. But most importantly? I have made it my mission to see and experience all I can. I’m a big fan of flying across the country to visit foggy and rainy mountains and spontaneous trips to North Carolina in a snowstorm. Are you a fan of  one-day road trips to find some new bakeries? Me too!

Travel is what I love to do, and in this blog I’ll cover the real travel experience– not just the cookie cutter social media recap version. I’ll also share my experience going on trips that help balance work/school/life and the ones that change your perspective on life.

When I’m not traveling, you can find me baking, reading, building legos or spending time with my 4 crazy cats (Oliver, Lucy, Cami & Toby) who are convinced they own the place!

This blog is where I post about the places I visit, what I’ve learned along the way and those special moments that make seeing the world worth it. If you’re looking for cozy adventures, small discoveries and genuine travel recommendations, you’re in the right spot!
